During the current Covid-19 restrictions , volunteering at the ELR has been problematic and activity has been scaled back significantly. Once the situation improves we hope to resume volunteer visits/working parties and will update this page accordingly.

As with all successful preservation groups, there is a lot which goes on behind the scenes to pull everything together and raise funds.
If you don’t fancy getting stuck into the locomotive itself there are plenty other opportunities to help. Many of these can be done from home via a computer and would be an ideal way for anyone who finds it difficult to travel to work on the locos to contribute to the well being of the group.
