The Class 56 Group have been in discussion with the East Lancs Railway and have now confirmed our own Driver Experience with 56006.

The initial response has been amazing and the first two dates are fully booked. We still have limited availability on the below dates

Saturday 24th October

Saturday 10th November

Unlike the full day FXP experiences offered by the railway, this will give you an opportunity to turn up and drive 006 for one or more sections of the Railway.

56006 will complete 3 full round trips of the line covering 72 miles in total.

The experience will be split in to the following sections.

Heywood – Bury
Bury – Ramsbottom
Ramsbottom – Rawtenstall
Rawtenstall – Ramsbottom
Ramsbottom – Bury
Bury – Heywood

Each section will cost £130 which includes you and one guest.

There will be a 10% discount if you’d like to purchase one full run of the line/3 sections.

This will be a closed event and not for passenger service.

You can travel on board with our volunteers in the coaching stock for the full day.

Please note no alcohol can be consumed onboard for the duration of the event.

You and your guest must be at least 18 years of age.
